A TAG TEAM MATCH is a play on words. Each artist in the show was given a Haiku as a source of inspiration. They then made a piece in their style trying to capture the meaning or feeling behind the poem. What they didn't know is that another artist was given the same poem.
We were able to capture how two people can look at the same piece of inspiration and interpret it in very different ways. It is also of interest, to us how different people, given the same challenge, connect in such different ways based on how they work.
We hope you can join us for the opening reception, or visit the beautiful galleries at the West Sahara Library. We are showing work of over 20 artists, whose work is triggered by both modern and historic Haiku.
